Cookie Policy
Effective date: 7 May 2026
Last updated: 7 May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how vscxml.com (the “Site”) uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage for remembering your privacy choices), and how you can control them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels used by analytics tools when enabled.
2. Essential (strictly necessary) operations
Some processing is strictly necessary to provide the Site over the network—for example:
- Transport security (TLS) and routing through hosting / CDN infrastructure
- Load balancing and temporary session affinity where used by the platform
These are typically not optional and do not require consent under EU ePrivacy implementations when they are truly necessary to deliver a service you explicitly requested (viewing the Site). Technical data (such as IP address) may be processed by our infrastructure providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Optional analytics
If we enable measurement / analytics (for example to understand documentation usage), we will only activate such tools after you give consent where required by law. In that case, the analytics provider may set cookies or use device storage subject to your choice.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing Site storage for vscxml.com in your browser or using the consent controls when shown.
Current status: optional analytics are disabled unless our deployment explicitly configures a measurement ID at build time. When disabled, no analytics scripts from Google or similar vendors are loaded based on this mechanism.
4. Privacy preference storage
We may store your consent decision (accept / reject) in localStorage under a key such as vscxml.consent.v1 so we do not ask you on every page view. This stores no personal name or email—only your choice and a version flag.
5. Third-party resources
Some pages load assets from third-party CDNs (for example typography or highlight styles). Those requests may transmit technical data to those operators (similar to opening any URL). See the Privacy Policy.
6. How to delete cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect Site behaviour.
7. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect substantive edits.
